Symptoms:
Slow growth and appearance of red spots
or streaks on lower stem and roots. First true leaves
prematurely yellow and drop off. Diseased plants
often stay alive by producing new roots near the soil
surface but yield is severely reduced or eliminated.
Solutions:
Avoid compacting soil. The beneficial fungus
Trichoderma harzianum, included in some biofungicides,
works to suppress root pathogens. Use as a
soil drench on seedlings, transplants and established
plants. We recommend Root
Guardian™
Biofungicide for Soilborne Diseases.
