Symptoms: Large vines gradually wilt and die (no yellowing of leaves); young plants die rapidly. Bacterial wilt is spread by cucumber beetles.

Solutions: Remove and destroy wilted plants. To prevent, control cucumber beetles by using kaolin clay; start applications at 5- to 7-day intervals as soon as plants are aboveground or as necessary to control beetles. We recommend Surround® At Home® Crop Protectant. Or grow vines under Super-Light Insect Barriers; remove covers for pollination; resume spraying while cover is off.
